How can I assemble caster wheels with mounting plates?

This article will cover how to secure caster wheels onto assembly plates, from butt end of extrusion and from the side using t-nuts.

Mounting caster wheels on the butt end of the extrusion

The plates and caster wheels each come with 4 screws and 4 t-nuts. In this case, you will need to tap the 4 pilot holes on the end of the extrusion with the provided tapping kit. Here is an article if you want more details on how to do this: How to tap Vention extrusions.

Once the holes are tapped, you can use the 4 provided screws to fasten the plate (holes shown in the left picture), and then screw the wheel onto the plate (holes shown in right picture):

As for the wheels that are fastened to the side of the extrusion, the process will be similar but rather than screwing the plate into tapped holes, you will insert the t-nuts into the groove of the extrusion and screw the plate into these. You can insert the t-nuts through the end of the extrusion, or drop them in the side, as shown in this guide.
