Here you can see in image that the plc which I want to mount on the frame is getting red in color. I have also tried adding connector in properties section if anyone can help me, please reach me.
Hi Sarthak,
Welcome to the Vention Community!
To mount your plc on the panel, you will need to add custom holes by editing panel properties before adding any connectors.
-
Right-click on the panel and select edit panel
This will open the Edit Panel Material page. -
Select “Add holes or cutouts” from the left hand column.
-
Choose “Circular cut out”.
This will allow you to create circular holes anywhere on your panel. -
Left click on the hole to place it on the panel. Once the rectangle with the diameter measurement comes up, you can click on it to customize the size. (For example, if your plc requires M10 holes, you can change the value to 10).
You can add as many holes as you’d like. Typically, we suggest 4 holes to mount your plc.
-
You can also click on the ruler icon and select “constrained measurement” to measure the distance between the centre of your hole and the edge of the extrusion or any other distances. The distance will populate a value. You can then customize this value by clicking on it and changing the distance.
-
When you’re done adding your holes, you can click on generate panel.
-
Since the plc is an imported part, you will also have to add a connector so that it’s not free floating in your design. You can do this by right clicking on the plc, and selecting “add connector”. You can add as many connectors as circular holes added.
-
You’ll also need to add connectors on the panel where you created the holes.
-
Once you’ve added connectors on both parts (plc and panel) you can connect the two together in the design.
-
To have the connections exactly lined up, you can always go back and edit the panel properties, under constrained measurements, to modify the distance between the holes, or the distance from the holes to the ends of the extrusions.
We hope this information is helpful and happy designing!

Please note that we may not carry the screws required for mounting your plc if they are custom sizes. You can browse our screws and nuts offering on the marketplace.
